A lovely early autumn day awaited the Geezers today on their visit to the Tower of London.
Geezers chairman, Eddie Snooks knew that Tower Hamlets residents who have a library or Idea Store card can visit the Tower of London for just £1. This is some bargain, because the full adult price is £29.90!
Eddie said, “With entry at a pound each and with The Tower being on our doorstep it was only a matter of time before we paid it a visit. It’s hard to believe but for a few of the Geezers this was their first time.
“Like tourists in our own back yard we started off with the Jewel House.
“The state crown that had been placed on the Queen’s coffin and was now back in its usual home was the highlight.
“The Yeoman of the guard and the ravens looked wonderful in the sunshine.
“We recommend a visit to soak up some of the thousand years of history you will find waiting for you.”
