A beautiful and quiet sunny day was interrupted by geezers wielding electric sanders and scrapers. Like a scene from Disney’s Snow White, the seven geezers got to work.
The mission was to restore an oak memorial bench in Chisenhale School’s playground.

The bench was looking a little sorry for itself after 20 years of English weather.

Geezer-in-Chief Eddie Snooks provided the ‘boys’ with tea and bacon rolls.

The bench can now stay a space for staff and students to sit and remember their teacher and friend Zoe. Current staff shared their memories of Zoe:
To a wonderful caring person who had a great time at Chisenhale and will never be forgotten, we miss you, Zoe ❤️
