Award winning young Shadwell Opera Company and Circle Housing Old Ford bring you George Benjamin’s extraordinary ‘Into the Little Hill’. Based on the well known Pied Piper of Hamelin legend, the 40 minute opera aims to show new audiences that opera as an art form can respond to contemporary issues and introduces this art form to audiences that would normally not consider attending an opera performance.
This particular opera is well placed to be performed just prior to the General Election, as it contributes to political debates around immigration and the nature of public office.
2pm, Saturday 18th April at St Pauls Church, St Stephens Road, London E3 5JL.
Tickets are free.
