The Geezers, a social group of elderly men in Bow East London, are raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society. We will walk around Victoria Park as many times as we can. We’re doing this in memory of the friends and families who have sadly been affected by Alzheimer’s.
Our original target was £500. That has already been exceeded, so we’ll just keep going to raise as much as we can. You can donate here on our Just Giving page.
You are welcome to join us on 17th September 2023. We will be starting from the Victoria Park Bowls Club at 10.00. When we eventually finish we’ll meet in The People’s Tavern.
The Alzheimer’s Society is working on transforming the landscape of dementia. They are creating a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, and able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
One day there will be a cure, but that’s not yet.
