Did you live or work by the Regent’s Canal and the Hertford Union Canals in Tower Hamlets? Do you have memories, stories, and information about them. Then the Laburnum Boat club would like to hear from you. Over the next year the Club will be working with local individuals and communities to capture these stories.
The project will also offer lots of volunteering opportunities. Beside learning about the history of the Canals, there will be the opportunity to develop practical skills such as archival research, photography and interview techniques. There will also be the chance to lead guided walks.
