Looking for something to do with the kids over half term. Get your skates on and head down to Canary Wharf where the much-loved ice rink has had its season extended for the school holidays.
It is now open until February 23, which means everyone from schoolchildren to busy parents and those who haven’t had a chance to make it to the rink yet, can still make the most of the opportunity to skate.
Skaters can glide across the 1,100 square metre rink while those less adventurous who’d prefer to sit it out can watch the action from the viewing gallery.
It also features London’s only “skate path” – an ice trail that leads skaters around Canada Square Park’s iconic Big Blue sculpture by British designer Ron Arad and through a forest of twinkling fairy-lit trees.
And if you fancy a hot toddy to warm you up, you can always have a wee dram at the rinkside bar while watching the skaters.
Tickets can be bought via icerinkcanarywharf.co.uk, by ringing 020 7536 8400 or from the onsite box office.
