The Mayor’s Budget Roadshow is taking place on the 21st January in Bow Idea Store. (and then on the 27th January at the Whitechapel Idea Store).
Have your say at the Roadshow and find out if this is a genuine consultation with the people of Bow and Tower Hamlets, or a piece of political posturing in the year of the Mayoral elections. You can only find out by getting down there , expressing your opinion and then seeing if you get heard.
Residents are being invited to discuss their priorities on council services at the Mayor’s Budget Roadshows taking place at Idea Store Bow on Tuesday, January 21 and at Idea Store Whitechapel on Monday, January 27 both from 5.30pm – 7.30pm.
The proposed budget was considered by cabinet earlier this month and residents now have the opportunity to engage in the budget setting by attending the Mayor’s Budget Roadshows this month.
The roadshows are designed to allow residents to get an overview of the budget for them to consider. Feedback will be collected from both events and presented back to the cabinet to reflect on in early February.
Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to have a look at our budget proposals and provide feedback in order for us to deliver the services our community need and want.”
Cabinet member for resources, Cllr Alibor Choudhury said: “We welcome residents’ views on our budget proposals and I strongly encourage local people to attend one of our roadshows.”
The sessions are open to all residents and booking is not required. For more information visitwww.towerhamlets.gov.uk/budget or https://goo.gl/bwxhTp
