This Thursday (27th Oct) The Crofton Singers are performing from 6-7pm
Their programme includes:
- A couple of early Italian pieces from the 16th century
- Half a dozen from the 19th century – including two that were sung during the Queen’s funeral services ‘Jesu, the very thought of Thee’ by Edward Bairstow and ‘My soul, there is a country’ by Hubert Parry
- Plus four by Ralph Vaughan Williams whose birth 150 years ago is being celebrated this year
On Saturday (29th Oct) there are two performances on guitar by Tuomo Karjalainen at 11am and 6pm. You can just listen to the concert, or use the atmospheric setting to paint, draw or write poetry.
