Bow Food Bank has moved from Bow Church to the Bromley by Bow Centre (St Leonard’s Street E3 3BT). It’s open 8.30-12.30 on Mondays. It is open-access, and no referral is necessary. Local residents have been making generous food donations, and Tesco at Bromley by Bow has provided lots of food and support. Investec have extended funding and logistics support for another 12 weeks.
Bethnal Green Food Bank is open on Wednesdays 2-7pm at St Matthew’s Church, St Matthew’s Row, E2 6DT.

Thank you for publicising the Foodbanks at Bow and Bethnal Green. Readers might like to know that the demand has gone up by more than 5 times since the Lockdown started. We didn’t know this piece was going to appear so am interested to see the reference to Bromley Tesco’s generosity; I’m sorry to say that Tesco does not support us.
Elizabeth, thanks for your comment. I found the reference to Tesco on the BBBC website: https://www.bbbc.org.uk/news/bow-food-bank/
