Bromley by Bow Centre are looking for budding entrepreneurs who are committed to creating successful businesses that are both profit making and deliver serious social and/or environmental outcomes. Selected entrepreneurs are invited in to pitch their business ideas to the Beyond Business ‘Dragon’s Den’ style panel.
The winning applicants get up to £20k of funding plus training and support in:
- Business planning
- Sales and marketing
- Financial control
- Becoming an employer
- IT for start-ups
- Pro bono legal help
This very special East London scheme is funded by Investec. – an international organisation managing clients’ assets worth more than £150 billion.
So far Bromley by Bow Centre and its funders have incubated over 70 social businesses with a combined turnover in excess of £6 million, creating almost 400 jobs in the process. Applications are now open for 2020. The deadline for expressions of interest is 15th May at 5pm.
