Tower Hamlets have organised a special day in Victoria Park on Saturday 3rd Aug 2019 between 11am and 4pm. There will be a pop-up beach, donkey rides, sports, arts and crafts and much more. Head towards the bandstand and you should see them. See their poster below.
Victoria Park Gardening Club
The Gardening Club meets at the Outdoor Classroom which is located on the west side of Victoria Park, close to St Agnes Gate, Gore Road. All are welcome to get involved in the Gardening Club who grow vegetables, fruits and flowers. It meets on Sundays at 11:00 -12.30, and Thursdays 3:00 – 4.30

Every Sunday through the summer you can listen to quality live music from 2pm. Take a picnic and something to sit on.

Hi Bill, thanks for writing in. The pagoda is back
The original pagoda was put in Hyde Park in 1842 as the entrance to a Chinese exhibition. It was then moved to Victoria Park. It was damaged in WW2 and demolished in 1956. In 2010 that area was refurbished and a replica pagoda was built, based on old photos.Below is a photo I took in 2012 after they’d restored the island.
Can anybody tell me , what year the park got rid of the Pagoda , that used to be there
