For the fourth year running Fidelity Personal Investing invited users of Age UK East London (Tower Hamlets/Newham/Hackney) to an afternoon at St Paul’s Cathedral. The afternoon started off with a tour of the cathedral.
This was followed by a high tea served by waiters and waitresses. We were given a set of Cathedral Christmas cards.
Finally we went to Evensong where to our suprprise our beloved vicar, recently of St Pauls in Bow and now Canon Treasurer of St Paul’s Cathedral, read one of the lessons.
At St Paul’s in Bow Philippa did a tremendous job in rebuilding the church as a place for the whole community. It was wonderful to see her, and before we left she came onto the coach, wished us all the best and told us how much she missed Bow.
