The Royal Institute of Oil Painters Annual Exhibition is on at the Mall Galleries, just through Admiralty Arch from Trafalgar Square. It’s walkable from Embankment Tube.
My photograph above shows less than half the exhibition, as there is another room of oil paintings, plus a separate exhibition by The Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers.
The oil paintings are of Figurative Art, that is paintings which reference the real world – landscapes, city streets, portraits etc. There’s quite a variety in this exhibition. You can see some on this webpage.
Sheila and I went today, tube strike day, and managed to get seats on the District Line in both directions. We recommend this exhibition. Full price tickets are £5.
The exhibition closes on Sunday 5th December 2021 so you need to book soon to see it.
